About

I’m Sanab Hersi, Director of Green Soul, a community organisation rooted in creativity, care, and sustainability. My work weaves together community gardening, permaculture practice, and cultural storytelling — exploring how land, food, and creativity can nurture collective wellbeing.

As a gardener and permaculturist, I focus on regenerative practices that connect people with the earth. Alongside this, I’m developing my voice as a writer and emergent artist, using words and visual forms to reflect on belonging, identity, and our relationship to nature.

My creative practice is collaborative by nature. I’m especially interested in working with other artists, community groups, and organisations who want to explore themes of environmental justice, cultural expression, and creative resilience

I am a writer, community cultural artist, and curator whose practice emerges from the intersections of ecology, identity, and collective care. Rooted in my work as a gardener and permaculturist, I use storytelling, workshops, and creative collaboration to explore belonging, migration, and resilience. Through writing and cultural practice, I seek to nurture spaces of healing, amplify underrepresented voices, and reimagine our relationship with land, culture, and community.
