About

To get to a greener, fairer, healthier & happier world, we need to make change happen. That means telling compelling stories which inspire people. And that’s (hopefully) where I come in...

I’ve been working in media, campaigns and advocacy communication in Wales for over two decades, and I’ve now decided to take the plunge and go freelance.

I can help you inform, inspire and influence others in the most effective way possible. That could include writing a comms strategy, creating content for websites or social media, or selling your story to journalists. It’ll probably include taking complex information and bringing it to life by using the right language, images and examples for your intended audience.

I learnt to tell stories simply and clearly when I was a reporter at ITV Wales, where I covered everything from elections and floods to court cases and celebrity interviews.

I managed comms for the Sustainable Development Commission Wales, and then joined WWF Cymru, where I worked my way up to become Head of Communications. While there, I grew the charity's social media presence to one of the biggest and most influential in Wales, campaigned for the ground-breaking Wellbeing of Future Generations Act, and secured media coverage on BBC Wales, Western Mail and the Guardian. I also managed the Welsh Earth Hour campaign, ran political events and launches, and developed WWF-UK’s first ever blog ‘from the field’ in Kenya.

I've been a regular broadcast spokesperson in Welsh and English, and co-presented the Seismic Wales podcast. Outside of work I’m into growing vegetables, cycling and I'm a licensed radio 'ham'.

If you think you might need communications advice or support, get in touch. I’m also up for talking about any projects that improve Wales’ sustainability, democracy and media.
