ROLE OVERVIEW
We want a creative Welsh Language Copywriter to assist in prioritising Welsh across all our campaigns. They will be tasked with ensuring that all our messages authentically engage and resonate with Welsh-speaking audiences.
We are passionate about language and are proud to be a bilingual agency. Make your own mark in our campaigns by being a driving force behind integrating Welsh into our narrative and every aspect of our work.
You will be an integral part of the award-winning Creative Team of designers, creative directors, copywriters & linguists. Working with them and the wider Cowshed team to make brave creative campaigns.

THE DAY TO DAY
- Producing compelling, culturally sensitive language copy for a diverse array of communication platforms, including digital content, press releases, TV, out of home and publications.
- Ensuring a Welsh first approach, enhancing the overall impact and reach of our work.
- Being keenly across Welsh media and reporting back to the team stories of interest and trends in language and Welsh content.
- Attending voiceovers and video shoots to check on content and accuracy of the Welsh being captured.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Upholding Welsh Language Standards and ensuring proper use of technical language in sectors such as health care, social care and education.
- Ensuring effective engagement and linguistic accuracy of the Welsh language across all communications. This will involve both creatively translating work from English and proofreading other people’s translation work.
- Promoting the use of Welsh across our campaigns, supporting our clients, and Cowshed.
- Excellent ability to collaborate and communicate across teams and projects.
- Maintaining the highest of standards of accuracy, quality, and cultural awareness in all Welsh language communications, acting as a quality control across the organisation.
