Tell us more about your team

Our small team has naturally assembled through a shared love for all things creative and all things Cardiff.

We each have day jobs that allow us to express our creativity, whether it be through design, writing or marketing. Through Radar, we’re able to take our creative expression a level further and curate content specifically for our interests, that we hope young people and creatives in our city are receptive to.

What is Radar Mag?

Radar is an independent print magazine covering music, art, lifestyle and culture, focused specifically on all things happening in Cardiff.

Our print magazine is supported by an online platform delivering similar content and our series of events that showcase the best of new live music from our city.

What do you hope to achieve?

We exist to tell the stories from Cardiff’s creative and music scene, this year we’ve stretched that further, including works from across South Wales.

We hope to grow a platform that exists across all media channels, both print and digital, as well as in person events, providing the opportunity for talented creatives and musicians to share their art and experience. Throughout our plans for 2024 and beyond, we’re looking at the different forms of media that we can use to tell such stories and amplify Welsh creatives and musicians further.

We’d love for Radar to play a role in continuing the cultivation of a richer cultural identity for Cardiff and South Wales, so that it is thought of as a hub for creativity and the arts by people across the country.

Tell us about Radar’s plans for the future…

In 2024, we’re planning to develop our online platform further through video content, provide coverage for Wales’ biggest music festivals and publish another two packed print issues of Radar. It’s going to be a big year!
