About the Role
Wales Millenium Centre have an exciting opportunity for an experienced production manager to join our Technical team to lead on Production Management of our in-house produced projects.WMC works with artists and companies to produce a range of productions presented in our Weston Studio and also touring in Wales, the UK and internationally.These range in size and scale but all have a clear musical focus, are rooted in Wales and fire imaginations.
The Production Manager will report to the Head of Technical and work closely with the Producing team and freelance, artists, creatives and technical staff.
You should Apply If You Have:
- A minimum of 2 years experience of production management
- A commitment to valuing and developing a culture and identity in Wales and in all aspects of WMC’s activities
- Experience of Planning and Pre-production work
- Experience of financial management, budgeting and reporting (including experience of managing & controlling production budgets)
- Knowledge of the local, national and international performing arts scene
- Experience of overseeing production process including set build, props, wardrobe, lighting, Sound and Video projection
- Knowledge of current Health and Safety practices and relevant Insurances complying with industry standards
- High motivation and ability to work independently
- Willingness to work flexibly in response to the changing needs of the project
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize and manage time effectively
- A commitment to and understanding of inclusion and accessibility
- Excellent interpersonal skills, particularly verbal; with a good attention to detail
- Ability to build strong relationships with individuals and teams
- Commitment to the provision of excellent customer service to both colleagues and customers at all times
- A creative ad forward thinking approach to problem solving
- The ability to speak Welsh is desirable but not essential
