About WMC/Our Department:

Our Duty Managers are first and foremost great leaders. You will lead operationally the Cabaret Venue staff in contributing to a memorable evening for our guests. As the Cabaret Duty Manager, you will keep the team motivated and drive excellence on shift, whilst maximizing bar and merchandise sales. Your goal is to have a knowledgeable and welcoming team, that promotes the Centre’s vision.

About the Role and Responsibilities:

Our Cabaret Duty Manager will be a key player in the Customer Experience leadership team. You will take the reins of our newest venue at Wales Millennium Centre helping to shape the inclusive welcome and create a fun and lively atmosphere in the venue.

As the Cabaret Duty Manager, you will be responsible for leading the customer facing team, including Bar Staff and Volunteer Ushers. You will also be the ‘on the night’ point of contact for all artists, ensuring their visit here is a positive experience and any issues are resolved efficiently.

Your role is subject to a DBS check

  • Experience in managing and leading a team is essential;
  • Experience in managing casual workers and volunteers would be an advantage.
  • Be able to manage and guide the team in a dynamic working environment.
  • Hold a Personal License or willing to be trained as a personal licence holder and ensure that the Centre complies with its Premises License and other statutory regulations.
  • To be fully conversant with the Health, Safety, Fire and Security regulations, including maintaining and develop appropriate risk assessments.
  • The ability to speak Welsh will be advantageous.
