National Youth Arts Wales wishes to recruit a part-time Music Futures Trainee Producer to join the National Youth Arts Wales team for 9 months to help produce and deliver our music projects.

One of the role’s main tasks will be to help produce Music Futures for 2023-2024, NYAW’s contemporary music project for young people aged 15-19, giving an insight into the commercial music industry in Wales. Prior employment experience is NOT essential for the role.

Eligibility

We want to offer opportunities for skills development to young people who are often under-represented in the Arts. This training role is reserved exclusively for young people aged 18-25 who come from communities under-represented in the arts. This includes young people from Global Majority communities, young people who are D/deaf or living with a disability, neurodivergent young people, or young people from lower socio-economic backgrounds.

This role is a Positive Action Scheme, as part of NYAW’s commitment to diversifying the creative workforce. It’s intended to help young people from under-represented backgrounds to get their first paid experience in the arts industries.

Salary: £19,838 per year pro rata (£11,902.80 on a part-time contract). Based on the Real Living Wage of £10.90 per hour. Paid monthly.

Deadline: 12pm on Friday 26 May 2023
