About
I'm a self-taught POC illustrator based in the heart of Cardiff.
My primary focus is on editorial illustrations, but I also design logos and create social media graphics.
Through my work, I aim to celebrate the beauty and distinctiveness of BIPOC communities. I believe that representation in the creative fields is lacking and needs to be addressed.
In recent years, I have had the privilege of collaborating with several Black-owned businesses, including Black Girl Fest, The Blues Project, and The Brooklyn Mavens. Additionally, I have partnered with Welsh enterprises like In Two Minds Podcast and Citrus Comms.
I am eager to collaborate with others in the editorial, commercial, and children's book sectors. My diverse skill set in illustration allows me to adapt to various projects seamlessly.
I reached out to Gio with a brief for a podcast cover for one of my clients with a tight deadline of just 24 hours. I wasn't expecting it to be possible, but Gio responded within five minutes and immediately got work. In less than 12 hours she delivered a flawless, on-brand cover that required zero changes from the client!
Gio also provided amended versions of the design, perfectly optimised for use across all social channels and platforms. I cannot recommend Gio enough to anyone in need of professional, curated design work. She's an absolute joy to collaborate with.
