Creative Cardiff's 'Show & Tell' is a quarterly event that gives a platform to some of the exciting range of creative people and projects in the city. It will bring together Cardiff’s creative community, from emerging talent to old hand, to hear about their current projects and ambitions.
Each of the speakers will give a 10 minute lightening presentation. And they'll bring an object. The object might be the source of their inspiration, a tool of their trade or a comfort blanket. The speakers will share their work and explain the importance of the object they've brought along.
We're delighted to welcome the following speakers at our first event:
Sarah Cole - Sarah Cole is a production and site manager as well as company director of SC Productions. She has worked on a large variety of productions from festivals to concerts to outdoor spectaculars. Sarah is working on the Roald Dahl centenary celebrations next year in a co-production between Wales Millennium Centre and National Theatre Wales.
Hilary Wagstaff - Based in Penarth, Hilary is a dolls' dressmaker and artist. Through her brand Moshi Moshi, Hilary designs and creates miniature couture outfits for doll collectors, selling them through Etsy and at international doll fairs. Hilary is presenting her latest collections at BlytheCon UK 2015 in London, a presitigous gathering of Blythe doll designers and enthusiasts.
Peter Rogers - Peter is creative producer and company director at the award winning Bait Studio and is the main point of contact for their motion graphics and visual effects clients across TV, film, advertising and music. Peter was previously an advertising creative and is also a graphic novelist, so he brings a strong sense of narrative focus to each production partnership.
