Unity Film Festival 2024 - A Groundbreaking Celebration of Inclusive Cinema in Wales
Bringing the best of inclusive films from across the world to Chapter, Cardiff, this second edition of Hijinx’s Unity Film Festival is bursting with exciting, thought-provoking and distinctive features and shorts. With documentaries, animations, dramas, comedies, sci-fi, costume drama and everything in between, the second Unity Film Festival offers something for everyone, including a special session for younger audiences. Every film has been made by or with people with learning disabilities and/or autism.
Tickets:
- There are tickets available for individual screenings: £8 / £5
- Or alternatively you can purchase a day pass for either day (or both), for the hugely discounted price of £25 (full price) or £17.50 (concessions price)
Access:
- All films will have captions.
- All Q&As and panel discussions, including the Industry Event will be BSL/Eng interpreted and have live captions in English. Friday: Julie Doyle will be interpreting the Industry Event. Claire Anderson will be interpreting the Q&A after the Shorts Session 6pm – 7pm. Tony Evans will be interpreting all day on the Saturday.
- Audio description is available for all films.
- All films at the festival are relaxed screenings. This means the audience lights will be left on low and you are welcome to leave your seat, make noise and move around.
