Profile

The aim of 'Wales Trails' is to put Wales firmly on the world cycling map. To do this we’ve already completed a trans-Wales ride of over 600 miles around the coastline of much of the Principality and now want to encourage other bikers to do the same.

In the UK at the moment there are numerous long distance rides that a keen cyclist can do but the most famous of these is without doubt the Land’s End to John o’ Groats End to End challenge that typically takes in over 900 miles through England and Scotland. A cruel trick of geography means Wales is usually by-passed for the majority of riders who undertake this journey. After this little pedal there is the 140 mile Coast 2 Coast ride across northern England, but again there seems to be nothing quite as iconic within Wales.

This desperately needs to change and that’s the purpose of our website and book.
