Member of the Month

Established in 1988, BAFTA Cymru is the Welsh branch of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts and exists to celebrate Welsh talent and inspire the next generation of creatives.

As a charity BAFTA Cymru want to support industry professionals at all levels, as well as the public with a passion for film, games and television. BAFTA Cymru reaches out to 7000+ people through 100 events across Wales (with 55% held in Cardiff) and an annual October Awards ceremony which celebrates excellence across 25 competitive categories and 2 special awards.

In 2018, BAFTA Cymru will celebrate 30 years of activity and will host the first Guru Live one-day festival in Cardiff, offering those aspiring to work in creative media access to leading industry names. The 27th British Academy Cymru Awards will be hosted at St David’s Hall on 14 October.
