Areas of expertise:

n-ergy is a passionate advocate of working with offenders and ex-offenders throughout the UK and has a vision of “Developing individuals and organisations through unlocking potential and transforming lives”.

n-ergy provides a seamless service by delivering vocational training and employability programmes to hard-to-reach groups followed by specialist employment support during their journey back to employment and reintegration into the community.

In my role as Marketing Manager for n-ergy my focus is to build the company profile and brand for n-ergy with our key stakeholder groups (education & training / offender reform sector); implement marketing strategies that align with our company objectives ; and contribute to the continued and future growth of our business. Together with my Design & Marketing Assistant, I support and work with the Executive Board and our regional operations team managers to achieve this.

I have over 20 years’ marketing experience working for private organisations ranging from a corporate global brand in professional services sector to smaller fast growth local businesses in telecoms, recruitment and training; and I have worked for n-ergy for nearly 3 years, since November 2012. I recently took up the role of Chair in respect of our newly formed Positive Improvement & Impact Group (an internal focus group with regional representation from the North, Midlands, South West and Wales regions).

The new group's focus is on giving our workforce a voice for discussion of new ideas for continuous improvement and innovation for both our customers and our people. One of our company values is "Quality is the foundation of our business" and n-ergy is ISO 9001 registered, Investors in People accredited and also holds quality mark, The Matrix Standard.

n-ergy operates in 30 prisons in England and Wales (all welsh prisons); Of note, HMP Cardiff has its own design & print workshop and is one of our preferred suppliers. Our Employment Support team also work closely with employers in South Wales to help ex-offenders find permanent work on release.

As Convention Lead Sponsor, we are also looking forward to the 2015 Employability & Skills Wales Convention which is taking place on Tuesday, 3rd November at Cardiff City Stadium; supporting the three core themes of this event: "key challenges to tackling worklessness in Wales", "what works" and "showcase approaches that focus on employability & health."
