Heledd Wyn is a passionate and experienced visual storyteller. She has worked in the film and media industry, at the BBC and Independent film companies, in Wales; UK; NYC and Basque Country, as a freelance TV and film Production Manager, Director and Script Editor.She has worked on numerous productions, including feature length films, Drama series and Soap Operas.Her passion for film-making began when she borrowed her dad's super 8 camera to make shorts.Heledd has written and directed films for a broad spectrum of subjects from the effects of acid rain on farming, to political visual poem against war and conflict. Three have been broadcasted on S4C.Her drama/doc about the Cardif bay development, and its effect on local residence, won a BFI Newcomer Award.‘Cysgod Craith’ (Wounded Shadow), a short film exploring the effect of domestic abuse was commissioned by BBC Cymru/Wales and broadcasted on S4C.She has directed and produced many short films in collaboration with charities including with homeless young people.She has worked within the Education sector, sharing her enthusiasm and knowledge with students as a course leader at the University of South Wales, inspiring and guiding the next generation of film makers.She has published a book on film making (in Welsh and English): Syniad i'r Sgrin / Vision to Viewer
