About

Performer, recording artist, composer; David Grubb’s ability to bridge genres has made him a flexible and valuable musician. Primarily a violinist, he has worked with the likes of Novo Amor, Toby Hay, Hailaker, and Darren Eedens and the Slim Pickin’s. As a touring musician he has had the pleasure of working in North America, Europe, Asia, and New Zealand, and has performed at prestigious festivals and venues such as Union Chapel (London), Bowery Ballroom (NYC), SXSW, and Cambridge Folk Festival.

In theatre David has worked on several productions across South Wales, fulfilling roles as a composer, devisor, and performer. His theatre debut in The Jones Collective's 'Hiraeth' led him to work on 'Exodus' (Motherlode) and 'The Night Porter' (Bale&Thomas), as well as projects with Tinshed Theatre and RCT.

David has recorded and self released material under his own name. Recent release 'Nano' was long listed for the Welsh Music Prize.
