1. Pen and Paper Co

Stock up on your creative tools at Pen and Paper Co, an excellent shop for creators, found in the Royal Arcade. You can find everything art-related, ranging from paint supplies and sketchbooks, to cards and gifts.

2. Alexandra Gardens

Step away from your work space and refresh your mind by soaking up the fresh air and enjoying a moment of silence at Alexandra Gardens. Either choose to perch on one of the park benches, or take a stroll around the majestic sculpture.

3. Uncommon Ground Coffee Roastery

Grab a coffee at Uncommon Ground Roastery, also found down one of Cardiff’s famous arcades. The seats in the bay windows allow you to watch the world go by, sparking new ideas and projects.

4. National Museum Cardiff

What better way to spend an afternoon than visiting the amazing exhibitions on offer at the National Museum in Cardiff? Currently, you can find an exhibition spotlighting the 100 years of the BBC in Wales. The inspiring creators may give you ideas on how to initiate or develop your own projects.

5. Cardiff Market

Embrace Cardiff’s smaller businesses by visiting Cardiff Market and exploring the ways other individuals have created their own products. These mainly include consumables such as baked goods and prepared meals but you can also find hats, cards and clothes.
