About
Dragon Scale Studios is a Welsh games studio based in Cardiff, started by 6 graduates of the University of South Wales games design and art courses.
We have taken our 3rd year project, Set Sail! and continued development on it whilst starting the studio. Our 4 Player, Couch Co-op Pirate Party Adventure was accepted into the Tranzfuser 2023 programme, which we won and are heading to Dundee in January for a hot-housing programme called DunDev!
We are looking to build IPs around both the pirate setting of Set Sail! and the potential of a Couch Co-op franchise. For Set Sail!, we are aiming to take advantage of a gap in the market for pirate content by diversifying into other mediums, with merchandise, animated shows and more!
We have a strong team built around both game development and bizdev, but work with contractors to fill skills gaps such as music, graphic design and concept art, and are always on the lookout for new talent to work with!
