Iris Prize celebrates amazing LGBT+ film all year round. Over its 16 year history, Iris Prize has become a leading voice in championing LGBT+ short film, and a significant event in the British film festival calendar. The Iris Prize LGBT+ Film Festival takes place in Cardiff, Wales, UK each October.
A BAFTA-qualifying festival for British film, Iris is also home of the Iris Prize £30,000 film award – the world’s largest short film prize. The award allows the winner to make a new short film.

Iris also has a podcast that drops bi-weekly on a Monday at 12pm, which can be accessed via all your usual podcast providers. The podcast focuses on the Best of British Filmmakers from Iris 2021 and delves into the meaning behind their films, as well as their own personal journeys into the world of filmmaking!
