About the Role:
We’re looking for an experienced, passionate, organised and dynamic PR Manager to work across our portfolio of highly complex and multi-faceted regional and national projects. The successful candidate will drive the delivery of multi-channel PR strategies and activations with our Marketing and Ecomm Manager. This position gives the successful applicant an exciting opportunity to work with multiple global and diverse brands within the active, outdoor, and lifestyle fashion industry.

The PR Manager will be a key member of our team, working closely with our Marketing / Ecomm team, as well as the Sales team internally. Externally, you will be working extensively with the media, press, our retail and brand partners to support PR strategies and deliver campaigns to grow local brand awareness and engagement in the UK market. An understanding and passion for active, outdoor, and lifestyle fashion are desirable in order to have insight into how your work can impact our retail and brand partners.

You will be immersed within media, fashion, active and the knowledge of integration of social media with PR. This person will understand styling trends, fashion lifestyle, influencer PR, and how social media can support PR. A typical day will involve the day-to-day management of media, journalists, influencers, and stylists. This also includes negotiating innovative stories and deals with agents, journalists, reporting and analysing the performance of influencers/ambassadors’ partnerships, and assisting on the management of third-party brand collaborations. You will have a hands-on strategic approach and the understanding of how to deliver and curate compelling news stories and media opportunities and build excitement around our brands and for Unify.

Key Objectives:
Supporting the Marketing / Ecomm Manager in driving a multi-brand, rolling 12-month PR plan that increases sales, local UK brand awareness and engagement across both wholesale and Ecomm channels

Lead and ensure smooth delivery of all PR campaigns across multiple partnerships

Ensuring that the PR plan and projects are implemented on time and within the allocated budget across multiple brands

Reporting to the Marketing Manager for approval and sign-off on all planned PR activity in advance of expenditure

Cultivate advantageous relationships with key media titles, stylists and editors for all brands

Creating multi-brand local PR content for our retail, Ecomm and social media channels

Develop innovative, creative and unique approaches to influencer marketing and media

Responsibilities:
Working extensively with the media, press, and influencers/ambassadors

Oversee and implement the PR strategy for Unify and its portfolio of brand partnerships

Build and maintain a strong network of press, industry and influencer contacts for Unify and our brand partnerships

Lead the management of UK based PR, setting the strategic vision, defining the target media for press coverage and exposure

Draft media alerts and press releases to pitch brand stories and hero product narratives

Proactively finding PR opportunities and building relationships with media, press and influencers/ambassadors

Developing creative and innovative influencer campaigns alongside our Marketing and Ecomm Manager

Oversee press gifting/sample requests, control gifting budget, and ensure we are driving the desired brand perception, following our brand partners guidelines and overall tone of voice

Use best social influencer practice to drive conversions

Supporting the wider team with our brands’ presence at industry trade shows, events and brand activations

Handling influencer negotiations and ensuring campaigns are generating a profit through conversions

Identify influencer marketing and media opportunities for brand promotion

Liaise with our Social Media Executive regarding influencer PR and content creation

Matching new talent for each of our brands, negotiating partnership contracts and ensure consistency throughout the year

Communicate results internally and externally with our brand partners with reports and ROI analysis

Compile monthly dedicated activity press and activation reports

Required knowledge and experience:
Must have a minimum of 5 years relative retail PR experience

Excellent writing and editing skills, ensuring the understanding of brand voice and tone

Proven ability to work cross-functionally and collaboratively in a fast-paced role is a must in this role as the successful candidate will work closely with an array of our internal/external stakeholders, retail, and brand partners

Excellent knowledge of influencer PR and how to activate top-tier influencers/ambassadors across media outlets

Experience in handling media and an ability to simplify technical language

A team player who is highly motivated and a driven self-starter

Excellent planning and organisational skills

A positive, energetic attitude and collaborative working style, coupled with a creative and strategic mindset

Must have strong project management experience

Able to work in high-pressure, deadline-driven situations

Must possess a pro-active approach with excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate effectively both internally and externally

Excellent relationship, project management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and plan effectively

A confident pitcher and proven ability of selling in brand stories to national press and other media outlets

Understands Google analytics and Google tends to spot opportunities in the marketplace

Experience working in an agency environment, with multiple clients is desirable

Experience working within a retail-led industry (ideally in the active, outdoor or lifestyle fashion market) is highly desirable

A passion for active and outdoor activity is desirable

Due to the nature of the role, you must be willing to work occasional weekends or out of office hours
