About WMC/Our Department:

  • We as the Food & Beverage department are the first point of contact for customers, which makes us a key part in providing an unforgettable experience.

About the Role and Responsibilities:

  • The role of a bartender is at the core of the F&B team; you will be a vital part in building and maintaining excellent customer service, by being a regular friendly face for all who visit.
    • You will be the face of the WMC, and as such will be expected to build excellent knowledge of, our product range, what is happening in the centre and embody our values through your high standards of service.
    • As a core member of the team, you will support the supervisors by acting as a role model for other casual staff, proving guidance on standard operational procedures.
    • You will be expected at times to be able to work efficiently and confidently by yourself.
    • You will be experienced at dealing with customer issues and be competent at resolving matters quickly to the customers satisfaction.
    • You will have good experience in different types of hospitality services; for example, working behind a bar, working table service, working in a café, or working in events.
    • You will have good knowledge of best practices in hospitality industry and food safety regulations.
    • You will be competent at using EPOS systems.
    • You will be able to assist the supervisors or managers of F&B in operational tasks when needed.
    • You will report any issues that occur to the supervisor in a timely manner.
    • We will report any positive feedback and success stories to the supervisors to share with the wider team.
    • You will be a representative of the F&B team internally and as such, will be required to work effectively, efficiently, and positively with other departments in the WMC.
    • You will assist in the delivery of multiple unique events and projects throughout the centre, by helping set up po-up bars, organising venues, contributing to the creation of menus and providing excellent customer experience. Some of our upcoming events include S4C filming, WAG Change Generations event & Play opera live.

Your role may be subject to a DBS check

Key Requirements:

  • Proven ability to always deliver excellent customer service.
  • Experience of working efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced service environment.
  • Competent and experience in cash handling.
  • Good experience in using EPOS systems.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety standards.
