Are you a Welsh learner or a ‘Siaradwr Newydd’? Live in or near Newport? Want to write a script in Welsh, maybe for the first time?
Between September 2025 and April 2026, develop a script in Welsh through fortnightly creative workshops at The Riverfront Theatre & Arts Centre. Facilitated by Producer and Siaradwr Newydd Tom Bevan and Director Nia Morris, the sessions will be a regular space for writing, supported by The Riverfront Theatre & Arts Centre. We’ll get to know other Welsh learners and meet with exciting Welsh language creatives to inspire us along the way.
As a group, we will cast a group of professional actors to present sections of all our scripts at a public ‘scratch night’ on 9th April 2026 held at The Riverfront Theatre’s Studio space. We want to put the voice of Welsh learners centre stage!
