BAFTA Cymru exists to recognise the important contribution that the Nation’s media plays in the cultural life of the UK and to promote the Welsh film, games and television industry as a vibrant and inclusive place to work. Working with local Welsh Government, screen agencies and other key organisations and influencers.

The Head of BAFTA Cyrmu is the public face of BAFTA in Wales, working closely with the BAFTA Executive Directors and the Chair of the BAFTA Cymru Committee to represent BAFTA’s values with key stakeholders, in the media and to audiences in Wales.

This role will develop and deliver advocacy campaigns & activity, partnerships & sponsorships to raise awareness of the work of BAFTA and the wider industry and influence a range of audiences and stakeholders. The role will have P&L responsibility and be the key representative in BAFTA for BAFTA Cymru.

Ideally you will have:

  • Extensive experience of building strategic networks and effective collaboration
  • Ability to think creatively and navigate complex issues
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Exceptional written/oral/interpersonal communications

  • Exceptional business acumen

  • Enthusiastic in interactions with others
  • Able to communicate effectively with all in both Welsh and English
