I am an internationally recognised, award-winning Mouth Painting Artist, with the world-renowned Mouth and Foot Painting Artists [MFPA].
I paint primarily with acrylic and watercolour but have also used inks, pencils and pastel. All of my art is bright and bold.
During the lockdown, I kept busy with a number of art projects, including - 'Peace & Harmony’ A dove of peace, carrying an olive branch, surrounded by sun-rays in rainbow colours. This painting is in acrylics and painted on board. The design is something I had been thinking about and researching for a number of months. In February I pencil outlined the sketch, then it sat around for a bit.
Originally, I would have submitted it to the MFPA, but everything in this painting became symbolic and quite appropriate for the situation we were all in. So, for the first month of lockdown due to COVID19, this painting became my saviour and I immersed myself into it.
Ironically, the rainbow became a banner for the NHS, I was terrified that I or my family would catch the virus and end up in hospital. I witnessed many acts of kindness, cannily, the dove symbolic of peace, truce, truth and innocence, is also, a spiritual symbol of care, devotion and purity. People kept telling me "Everything will be fine”, “Be positive”, “Stay Safe”. But also seeing many acts of stupidity and selfishness made me angry, therefore, I guess the olive branch is gesture of peace, reconciliation and truce.
