My Creative Cardiff project is about my journey in the music/ creative scene that I started here in Cardiff, Wales.
I wanted to highlight and draw attention to my pidgin rap movement that has been going viral recently but also tell the story from the beginning so people can see the struggles and progression.
Even tho the movement is gaining traction globally it’s kinda now an unknown in the city so by making this mini documentary I hope it will open more eyes and ears to what we’ve been creating here in Cardiff.
Cardiff as a city is very special to me because this is where I learnt everything I’m doing today, I came here not knowing much about anything and ended up creating a path for myself.
This city gave me the space and opportunity to build something from scratch and the love will always be there.
My project takes you on a emotional entertaining rollercoaster ride, from the moment i arrived in Cardiff to where I am right now, how I connected and became part the creative scene, the trials and tribulations I faced and what the possibilities are for the future.
I’ve used all original footage to create this piece.
I filmed most of it myself and also got people to send me footages too, I used all my music as the soundtrack and a mixture of videos and picture to tell the story.
I hope this short documentary can inspire anyone who wants to get into the creative field without having any experience or qualifications and to show how welcoming and creative we are here in Cardiff...
