Cardiff is full of these locations. Some are well known, with names and fame; others are quiet, found more through directions than a name on the map. Yet all locations can boast the same ability to create connections, both invisible and apparent, just each in its own unique way.
It is this power of place that we celebrate in our interactive story Encounters. We follow two artists who, down in the dumps, decide to go out and explore one of Cardiff’s iconic locations. This moment of outdoor wonderment leads them down a road of creativity, energy and opportunity as they both start sharing their work with the world, in places where further encounters take them down roads they never imagined possible.
Encounters is a story about the positive power places have, about what can inspire people, and how every piece of art can connect people in unfathomable ways. It is also a metanarrative about how such a story can only be told through the networks that have been created; connections without which Encounters would have never happened.
