John’s art has appeared in major collections, galleries and exhibitions in Cardiff, London, Chicago, Vienna, Glasgow, Paris and New York. He has also received international acclaim for his work in the form of an Olivier Award and the Royal Philharmonic Award and praise from other leading figures in theatre.
John Macfarlane: Theatre Design and Studio is the first book about John Macfarlane and his works, both within and outside of the theatre world. Along with a host of his works, the book includes insightful captions about each featured performance which provide background details to the ballets and operas and the work that went into the designs for each.
Along with an opportunity to get a copy of the book signed by John, the event will also include an interview with him and an exhibition of his works.
