Jess is the Creative Cardiff Manager. She leads on day-to-day delivery of the network and its activities, as well as setting the strategic vision for what Creative Cardiff will do to support the development of a connected, collaborative and creative city. Having joined the team in September 2022, she’s especially keen to explore the ways in which the organisation can nurture the city’s creative communities to seize emerging opportunities and build resilience as they emerge from the uncertainty of Covid-19.
Originally from Merthyr Tydfil, Jess has spent the last 15+ years working in the culture and heritage sector, business support and creative economy between Wales and London. This has included roles in The British Library, Central School of Ballet, National Dance Company Wales, Hay Festival and University of South Wales. Prior to joining Creative Cardiff she delivered the Mayor of London’s flagship Creative Enterprise Zones programme, in partnership across eight London boroughs.
Passionate about people, partnerships, places and purpose, she’s delighted to now be back on ‘home ground’ and can’t wait to get stuck right in and make Creative Cardiff even more impactful than it is already.
