About
I started as a stage actor but have transitioned into directorial and assistant director roles. My passion is devising theatre and developing new scripts. My most significant directing experience is with college programs, particularly the UAL course at Merthyr Tydfil College, where I taught and directed 16-19-year-olds.
I work closely with performers, honing their instincts and using devising techniques inspired by Anne Bogart and Frantic Assembly. I balance teaching and directing by understanding performers' abilities and pushing them to grow. I ground my work in reality, using actors' experiences to create authentic pieces.
Growing up in a working-class village and family, I am passionate about telling stories from those perspectives. I aim to collaborate with actors, new writers, and other directors to uncover hidden stories and explore overlooked views. Through collaboration, I hope to produce impactful theatre that resonates widely and highlights underrepresented narratives.
