Monitoring and surveying the environment with drones!

The Efficiencies and Accuracies of Low-cost, Close-Range Digital Photogrammetry (Drones, Poles) for Environmental, Engineering and Coastal Monitoring.

Geospatial Environmental Solutions (GES) is a low-cost research-driven drone mapping and geospatial surveying company for efficient analytical methodologies to understand and evaluate the environmental changes and the effect of management strategies in monitoring with optimal frequencies of surveys, resolutions, localization and accuracy. As a low-cost photogrammetry (drone, pole) and land survey solution for monitoring deformation (structures, coal tips, cliffs, archaeology), coastal erosion, flooding, invasive plant species, water and air pollution, and landscaping GES doesn’t just produce pictorials but high-resolution and accurate 2D and 3D maps and models for monitoring, evaluative, scientific, and inventory purposes.

Development of remote sensing techniques and workflows for ecology research and wildlife conservation

"My research interests are focused on the development of remote sensing techniques and workflows for ecology research and wildlife conservation. I am particularly interested in how remote sensing can improve how we monitor habitat change, to better inform mitigation and restoration decisions.

With, part of my PhD looking at coupling UAV and Satellite data to predict sub-canopy operative temperature of tropical forest lizards, to map spatially relevant thermal landscapes for use in risk modelling and conservation decisions. I work with a variety of taxa across different systems in the fields of conservation biology remote sensing, restoration ecology, spatial ecology, biogeography, community ecology, invasion ecology, tropical ecology, microclimate modelling and thermal biology."

Suzie Larke

Surreal photography to explore mental health struggles with Suzie Larke

Suzie Larke is a visual artist and photographer. Her work blends fine art and conceptual photography to explore themes such as identity, emotion, and mental wellbeing. Rather than capturing single moments, Suzie creates surreal, composite images that reflect how things feel on the inside.

Unseen is a conceptual photography project by artist Suzie that explores mental health struggles through surreal imagery.
