Carys is the Operations and Engagement Manager at Creative Cardiff. She delivers our Engagement Strategy and works with the team to share and amplify our work. Carys has a focus on sharing our creative story with our network and beyond, as well as making sure we connect and support Cardiff's creative community through our communications and events.
Originally from North Wales, Carys moved to Cardiff in 2017 to study an MA in Arts Management at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama (RWCMD). Whilst studying, she worked part-time at the Wales Millennium Centre, before going to work full-time at RWCMD as a Creative Programming and Marketing Assistant. She has also worked in freelance and voluntary roles with Hay Festival, Bafta Cymru, Swn Festival, BBC Cymru and Literature Wales. Before starting with us, she worked as a Communications and Events Officer at Cardiff University.
