The Posh Club, a tongue-in-cheek ‘posh’ social event for the over 60s, has been running successfully across London for over a decade. With afternoon tea, dancing and an array of entertainment featuring local artists, the event has been regularly delighting London’s senior audiences.
Posh Club comes to Cardiff
This glamorous 1940s-style event for over 100 older people will be transforming St Mellons Hub in Cardiff across 20-22 December 2022 into a ‘posh’ hub of entertainment, with the help of theatre company Common Wealth.
The only rule of the evening is the dress code: Posh.
Rhiannon White, co-artistic director of Common Wealth, said:
“Common Wealth has been embedded in east Cardiff for four years, working with the local community through co-creation and live performance in order to create social change. The Posh Club will be a monumental marker for us bringing together our elders, local people as performing hosts and an array of talented boundary-pushing artists. Bringing our community together to celebrate each other in a decadent, playful, and life-affirming way will hopefully spread some joy in these unpredictable and challenging times.”
