An exciting opportunity to join the team onsite at the brand new Swansea Arena, prior to its official launch in 2022!

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the Kitchen Manager (Head Chef), Stock and Events Assistant, and the Food and Beverage (F&B) team. As the first person recruited into this role at the venue, you will be taking on the task of building a brand new customer experience from the ground up across 6 bars, 2 food kiosks and our luxurious VIP Lounge. We are looking for someone with experience in the Food and Beverage sector to recruit, train, develop and manage the F&B team, whilst overseeing the day to day operations of all sales outlets and high spec catering kitchen. Live entertainment is a fast paced environment that can involve last minute changes, movable deadlines, and lots of problem solving – so although we promote a healthy work life balance and a culture of team support and collaboration, you need to be ready to expect sometimes unavoidable changes to your schedule. A love of live performance and events is desirable!

About Swansea Arena

Swansea Arena will sit as the crowning jewel within the £135m regeneration scheme ‘Copr Bay’, located next to the famous Swansea Marina, beachfront and a brand-new 1.1 acre coastal park. Over £1 billion is being invested across the City, allowing Swansea to realise its potential to be one of the most vibrant places to live, work, visit and study in the UK.

Music and comedy will be at the heart of Swansea Arena’s programme, alongside e-gaming, sports, conferences and events within its multi-purpose divisible auditorium. This newly constructed flexible venue will have a capacity of 3,500, able to seat 2,200, host 150 guests in the VIP lounge and serve food and beverage at 9 outlets throughout the venue. 2,000m² of exhibition space will see the venue regularly host up to 2,500 visitors at conferences and events. Offering full dining and banqueting for up to 750 people plus 10 dedicated meeting rooms serving 8 – 150 people, Swansea Arena will be the largest conferencing and events venue in the vicinity of Swansea.

Please visit the Swansea Arena website for artists’ impressions of the completed building, and Swansea Council’s website for information on the overall development programme.
