The Gallery Season 5: ‘It’s Not Easy Being Green’
The UK’s biggest public art exhibition, The Gallery, is a new kind of cultural institution without walls that challenges traditional models of viewing art. Selected works are displayed on thousands of digital screens and billboards in over 55 towns and cities in the UK. To date, the past four seasons of The Gallery have been viewed over 200 million times by people across the UK.
The Gallery Season 5 is proud to partner with the British Council for its UK/Brazil Season of Culture. The Gallery is inviting artists to make work in response to the theme: It’s Not Easy Being Green.
What can art bring to the conversation? How can it inspire meaning and generate ideas to help our societies navigate the environmental challenges that lie ahead? We invite artists from Brazil, the UK and around the world to respond to the theme 'It’s Not Easy Being Green'.
