Creative Practitioner Call Out – Creating Connection through Digital Media
St David’s CiW Primary School (Colwinston, Cowbridge)
Application Deadline: Monday 17th June 12pm
St David’s Church in Wales Primary School is a happy, caring school in Colwinston, Cowbridge with a strong sense of community. Their mission statement is to be a special place, a safe place, a place of learning and a place of nurture and exploration.
The Opportunity:
We are looking for one or two creative practitioners to work with our year 3 class of 30 pupils alongside their teacher Ms Maund.
We are keen to explore the possibilities of digital media and how it could bring a new dimension of practice-based creative learning to our curriculum. We hope to explore and develop problem solving and communication skills. We are looking for an artist/creative practitioner who works with digital media or digital storytelling mediums and can share their skills and ideas with our class and teachers.
The successful applicant will help our class enhance and nurture Creative Habits of collaboration (co-operating with others, giving and receiving feedback, sharing created works) and perseverance (tolerating uncertainty, sticking with difficulty, daring to be different) through the exploration of digital skills.
We are excited to collaborate with the appointed Creative Practitioner and the class pupils – we think pupil voice is an exciting and integral aspect of the project, which means the opportunity is open and flexible. We look forward to planning and working together!
Come and share your skills and ideas with us and this wonderful class…
