Creative Cardiff, in partnership with Monmouthshire Council, is hosting a monthly gathering for artists, businesses and creative freelancers between January - March 2024, called 'Creative Cuppa'. These informal events will bring Monmouthshire's creative community together for the all-important three Cs - connection, creativity and caffeine.

Join us for a chance to meet, connect and learn from other creatives, whether you're just starting out or have been working in the industry for decades. Each Creative Cuppa starts with a TED-style talk on a theme that is relevant across all creative sectors, followed by an informal hour to sit down, chat and eat cake! These are relaxed gatherings to meet other creatives and share opportunities.

Building confidence

March's Creative Cuppa will focus on building your confidence whilst working in the creative industries, delivered by Richard Holman.

Today he works as an author, speaker & coach. He believes that the world needs creativity and innovation now more than ever, which is why he loves to work with individuals and teams to grow their confidence and make better and braver ideas.

Richard has run creative thinking masterclasses in Europe, the US and Asia for brands like the BBC, IMAX, Nat Geo, the Premier League and Paramount. His podcast The Wind Thieved Hat explores the highs and lows of life as a maker. When he’s not musing on where great ideas come from, you’ll find him running up and down the hills of South Wales where he lives.
