Creative Cardiff Classrooms are a new series of events which allow creatives to dive deeper into a specific theme in small group workshops with an experienced facilitator. Subsidised by Creative Cardiff, all Classroom events are just £10 to attend.
The second Creative Cardiff Classroom of 2024 will give you the chance to get creative by making your own lampshade.
This workshop will be delivered by Twin Made's Charlotte. Charlotte has been running fun, colourful and Creative Workshops since 2012 - from Dungaree Making to Neon Signs and much more, which attract participants from all over the UK. You can find her studio-shop and Twin Made Vending machine at the Corp Market in Canton, Cardiff.
During the lampshade workshop, you'll learn to make a 30cm drum lampshade. You will need a light cotton/cotton mix fabric, as it is easy to work with and always has great results.

You will need to bring: 30cm x 100cm or 30cm of a standard width light or medium fabric (114 cm), feel free to bring a large piece so you can select a pattern. Cotton or cotton mix fabrics work best.
You will need a large bag to transport your lampshade home.
