Wales Millennium Centre is a creative home for everyone. We fire imaginations by welcoming world-class shows, events and experiences to Wales - from critically acclaimed musical theatre, comedy and dance to intimate, ground-breaking cabaret.
As part of the Arts and Creative team you will get to be part of some magical work. From our pioneering youth led studios, to our work with immersive technology we want to find ways for artists, young people and communities to tell their stories in the ways they want to.
About the Role and Responsibilities:
We are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting artists and creating experiences. You must be excited about the idea of delivering a wide range of work within the context of our Artistic programme. Wales Millennium Centre is determined to be a creative home for everyone and we are looking for an experienced producer who has an interest in contributing to our vision and helping us imagine new possibilities.
The producer plays a key role in supporting across our work with Artists and will need to take a Creative and Care-Full approach to producing, supporting the Head of Creative Experiences in delivering work across the building and beyond.
You will need experience and ambition to plan and deliver a diverse and inclusive, financially responsible programme including work with artists, young people and communities and commercial hires. Working across the organisation you will engage with all departments to sustain the best quality of experience for artists and audiences.
Key Requirements:
You will need experience of producing work with artists, assembling and managing creative and production teams and creating work for audiences preferably at scale.
Valuing and developing culture and identity in all its diversity in Wales through all aspects of your work will be important. Leading by example in this role supporting the core value of WMC as a creative home for everyone.
You will need an interest in making a wide range of work from supporting our cabaret programme to our international festival Llais. This role works across our creative programme. We are looking for someone who is passionate about telling stories in different ways.
