Lead and Support Tutor Vacancies at Media Academy Cymru (MAC)

We are delighted to be recruiting full and part-time tutors and support tutors for our growing portfolio of creative industry BTEC programmes (levels 1-3), in Cardiff, starting from September 2023. We are looking for a pool of talented tutors who can teach and support in the delivery of any of the following:

  • Digital Media
  • Filmmaking (including Documentary Filmmaking)
  • Performing and Production Arts
  • Marketing and Social Action
  • Game Design and Development
  • Music Production 1-1 sessions

Are you an awe-inspiring filmmaker, a wizard in game design, or an expert in digital media? Perhaps you are a changemaker with a thirst for social action and marketing? Do you have experience in music production, guitar, drums or keyboard or are you a performing artist or theatre production professional who wants to inspire and empower diverse young people? If so, MAC could be your next destination!

At MAC, all our courses are delivered in a relaxed, inclusive and encouraging atmosphere. They offer a bespoke alternative to mainstream education for students 16-25 who are unable to access similar opportunities elsewhere and are not in education, training or employment. Our vision is that all children and young people in Wales are safe and given opportunities to live meaningful lives.

We can offer both freelance and contracted employment opportunities (including term time only) with competitive rates and salaries. Additional benefits of being a tutor at MAC are:

  • You will work with the friendliest team of people, in a happy and supportive environment.
  • You will support and empower diverse young people to realise their potential in the creative arts industry.
  • You will love your job!

As an ideal candidate for these exciting posts, you will be trained to degree level and have relevant industry experience. You will also:

  • Understand people and their differences.
  • Be passionate about education with no boundaries.
  • Have a youth work or teaching qualification.
  • Have a genuine passion for learning and the ability to adapt and be flexible to students and their needs.

MAC is an equal opportunities employer, welcoming all applicants without discrimination. Contact us now for more information, to arrange an informal chat, or send your CV and a cover letter to: melanie@mediaacademycymru.wales

All posts are subject to satisfactory references and enhanced DBS.
