Imprint are the large format printing division of Pureprint Group; a world class print and marketing services group. We deliver enhanced experiences across all types of print in retail marketing. The Imprint creative team are based in-house within our client offices, to provide a reactive and seamless service.

We are looking for a passionate Junior Creative Designer to join our in-house design team, based full time within the marketing department at Peacocks Head Office in Cardiff. It goes without saying that you’ll be a creative person with a natural design flair, who is able to deliver strong brand ideas. Under the guidance of the internal design team, you’ll work across the entire creative process, from concept through to design implementation, across multiple channels, artwork and production, for a variety of retail marketing projects.

This is a hands on, fast paced role, where you will not only be working on creative projects, but also producing print ready artwork, so a high level of skill in Adobe Creative Suite is essential. You’ll need to be a confident person who is comfortable communicating to the client at all levels. It’s important you can demonstrate a clear passion for design within the fashion and retail sector, and a desire to work within a passionate and ambitious team, to grow your existing design skills.

This role will require you to…

  • Work collaboratively with the client, account manager and in-house design team on a variety of creative and artwork projects within the retail marketing sector.
  • Create final print ready artwork with an ability to take on projects from initial concept to print ready files. You’ll be flexible to create artwork from another designer’s work, or your own.
  • Provide creative support as required on bigger campaign projects.
  • Present and discuss ideas in design critiques and attend client product meetings, so you’ll be happy to take and give feedback.
  • Have a keen awareness for fashion and retail trends to ensure all creative is current, exciting and maintains customer engagement.

Skills you will have…

  • A degree in Graphic Design or similar.
  • 1+ year of design experience is preferred but not essential.
  • Although primarily a print-based role, you will have an ability to deliver creative ideas across multiple channels.
  • Collaborative skills to work closely with the retail client and the internal design team.
  • A natural eye for typography, colour, layout, photography and branding.
  • An excellent knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator.
  • Print process/production knowledge is desirable.
  • Retouching skills would be beneficial but not essential.
  • An ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and prioritise workload under pressure.
  • Sound knowledge of all office applications.
  • Mac user.
