In the first episode of season three of Get A 'Proper' Job host Kayleigh Mcleod talks to Kayed Mohamed-Mason, a TikTok apprentice for Cardiff-based advertising agency S3 advertising and Rebecca Campbell Managing Partner for Agency Development at S3 Advertising about the future of work in the creative and cultural industries.
Particularly, new types of roles which we might see in the
ever-evolving digital landscape.
On the topic of which skills are needed to be a TikTok apprentice, Kayed said: “You need to have a fast-paced working brain - on TikTok there is a new trend every time you blink and you need to be able to keep up. It is almost easier for me now working for a brand and clients on TikTok because I can tunnel my vision and think, this is what is happening so how can I turn it into what the client wants.
If you’re working for a brand on TikTok, you need to have an open mind and look at everything objectively – how does this work from the brands perspective?
Talking about blending digital and creative skills in business, Becky said: “There’s so much scope to bring digital skills and bring creativity and use them to achieve goals for businesses.
The more we can have creative people applying their creativity to the digital world it is going to create higher and higher content performance which, ultimately, means higher and higher business results.
