Salary: £29,000 per annum
Hours of work: Full time & Permanent (35 hours per week supported by flexible working)
Location: Home-based due to coronavirus restrictions. Around COVID restrictions there may be a need to occasionally work at our Cardiff Head Office

You’re looking to work for a Third sector organisation proud of its Welsh roots. You want a job that matters and you’re highly motivated by making a difference to the lives of people affected by cancer.
You’ve got the right connections, know-how and communication qualities in the public relations and media field, to make sure we’re the charity of choice for journalists covering cancer in Wales. You want to use your communication skills to promote our work and key messages, while supporting our Storyteller to develop impactful stakeholder case studies, for use across the charity.
So, naturally we want to know more about you if this is your area of expertise. We want to talk more if you’re someone who shines in creating proactive and engaging media campaigns, communicates effectively, and can work collaboratively with both colleagues and external parties.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll build and maintain our media relationships to promote our work and raise awareness of the issues affecting cancer patients in Wales.
An integral part of our marketing and communications team, you’ll be working closely with your colleagues to highlight the charity’s work and priorities. You’ll also have some line management responsibilities and be required to prepare and deliver media training to staff and relevant volunteers.
Day to day, you’ll be handling press enquiries, create engaging and on brand communications and content, and supporting our Storyteller. Working closely with our Director of Marketing & Communications you’ll make sure everything we do supports and promotes our strategic aims as an organisation.
