Iris Prize celebrates amazing LGBT+ film all year round. Over its 16 year history, Iris Prize has become a leading voice in championing LGBT+ short film, and a significant event in the British film festival calendar.
The Iris Prize LGBT+ Film Festival takes place in Cardiff, Wales, UK each October.
A BAFTA-qualifying festival for British film, Iris is also home of the Iris Prize £30,000 film award – the world’s largest short film prize. The award allows the winner to make a new short film.
Iris has also recently started a podcast, the Iris Prize Podcast, that is on Spotify and all usual podcast providers. The podcast focuses on the Best British Filmmakers from the 2021 festival, and delves into their experiences in the film industry, as well as their films and experiences with Iris.
