Tell us about yourself and your creative background
I studied design at university and then went on to be a graphic designer for over a decade. Whilst working as a designer I did lots of freelance illustration in my spare time. In 2017 I left the agency I worked at to become a freelance illustrator.
How would you describe your work?
I like to create bold, colourful illustrations, with a sense of fun and energy. Whilst a lot of my work is digital, I specialise in large scale hand painted murals.
Tell us about your design for this commission
I wanted to celebrate the creative community here in Cardiff. As a freelancer this community is vital support for my career and well being. From networking events, chats online, to sharing ideas over a coffee. It means a lot to be an active part of this community.
What does Cardiff mean to you?
Cardiff is my home, and home to the people I love.
