I am a Panama-born visual storyteller, writer, illustrator, entrepreneur, scavenger, disruptor, and a whole load of things that would make this a very long and boring read.

I work where roads meet, ideas brush shoulders, and concepts are forced to play an awkward but fruitful staring contest; the bystanders, winners of these nuclear fusion events. Intersectionality is my main interest; as the questions that arise when you make concepts collide sometimes provide the best of materials for storytelling. I have written short stories on niche eroticism, and made work celebrating the long history of Cardiff-based circus company No Fit State; I've printed political posters exploring the 2016 ziika epidemic, and delved into psychogeographic wandering through photography; I've enjoy making surreal illustrated stories, and narrative editorial illustrations. When not working on various projects, I can be found scavenging and reclaiming materials to build furniture out of; or be found practicing circus skills.

I am Director and Founder of Ffangai, a company working towards setting up a creative hub for recent graduates and industry professionals in central Cardiff. Ian also participates in the bi-weekly podcast, A Well Meaning Hell, which he hopes to grow into a multimedia culture platform.

Currently I am looking for freelance work in illustration and storytelling.

My work's taken me to be published both in Wales and in Panama, as well as being shortlisted for the 2015 Reportarger Award.
