Profile

Film Hub Wales (FHW) aims to bring more films, to more people, in more places around Wales.

We are one of nine Film Hubs around the UK formed in 2013 as part of the ground-breaking initiative BFI Film Audience Network (FAN). You’ll find other hubs in London, the Midlands, NI, the South West, Scotland, the North and the South East, who we work with on UK wide film initiatives.

We work with over 210 Welsh cinemas, arts centres, community venues, societies, festivals and wider film practitioners to develop inventive and inclusive ways for all people in Wales to access British independent and international cinema. Chapter (Cardiff) are the Film Hub Lead Organisation (FHLO) for Wales, with the mission to work in partnership with members across Wales, the UK and Europe, to bring new film experiences to audiences across the nation and beyond.

Since Film Hub Wales set up in 2013, we’ve supported over 123 exciting cinema projects, reaching over 242,000 audience members. We've been proud to develop projects such as Roald Dahl on Film, the Queer Film Network UK and host the BFI FAN Access Officer.
