Arts Project Manager and Music Composer

Inspired by the 1980’s Sin Roc Gymraeg Catrin Jones co-founded Roc Y Cnapan and formed an avant-garde electronic band by the age of 16.

Catrin expanded her musical boundaries studying Electroacoustic music at City University.

In 1996 she co-founded 11 piece music outfit MAO, an intense live experience fusing drum and bass with contemporary classical orchestration. MAO headlined the Big Chill Enchanted Garden Festival, The Queen Elizabeth Hall, Barbican Centre, The British Library and The Scala.

From 2001 Catrin collaborated in live improv and sound art duo, Thunderbolt, whilst also producing two flagship Arts in Health programmes at Vital Arts and Guys and St Thomas’ Charity in London, initiating highly original and diverse arts programmes comprising live music concerts on hospital wards, and unique therapeutic artist residencies with patients.

More recently Catrin completed her first film soundtrack, recorded in Los Angeles, India and Argentina with musicians spanning jazz, world, classical and spiritual traditions.
