For creative workers and those interested in the creative industries. Rhywbeth Creadigol? (Something Creative?) brings industry experts and workers together to discuss the topics that matter to them, with a focus on current creative industries research.

In episode two of 'Rhywbeth Creadigol?' (Something Creative?), we talk about the link between happiness and creativity with the multi-talented artist, Ani Saunders

Ani talks about her creative career so far and her creative processes as a musician, visual artist and photographer. She's currently a PhD student at the School of Geography and Planning at Cardiff University with her current project: 'Agents of Change in Old-industrial Regions in Europe'.

Her music is a wealth of Welsh, Cornish and English-language synth-pop and she performs under the pseudonym - Ani Glass. Her latest single, Mirores, was announced in January and the rest of the album will be launched on the 6th of March starting with a gig in Clwb Ifor Bach followed by a tour of Wales.

Ani said of the term 'tormented artist': "I tend to feel a bit offended by that term for a number of reasons. In general terms, it tends to romanticize the idea that you have to suffer for your art... From a selfish point of view, I'm not a tormented person generally..."

Of being creative, Ani said: "For me, it's a way of life, I don't make music or make art - it's a way of life"
