Workshop aim

This workshop will help you to tap into your creativity and incorporate it into everyday writing tasks as well as more creatively-centred ones. It will offer advice and techniques on how to overcome writer's block, procrastination and approach writing in a more structured and effective way.

Anyone writing for a wide range of communication mediums, including online and social media platforms. Highly suitable for beginners and a shot in the arm for more experienced writers.

She is a passionate, driven person who believes strongly in individuals working from their own confidence, skills and authentic powerful places. Dannie is a “no BS”, direct, warm and approachable professional who is particularly strong at thinking on her feet and pushing for people to get beyond their perceived upper limit, both personally and professionally. In an earlier life, Dannie trained and worked as a stage actor and is now a well-recognised practitioner in The Meisner Technique, working with performers around the globe. She set up The Hypercycle in 2014, in order to change the perception and application of the creative process. In 2015, followed her TEDx talk, “The Inconvenient Truth for Culture”.

In 2012, Dannie wrote the book Brilliant Assertiveness and in 2016, was a key contributor to the Psychologies Magazine book, Real Ambition: Quit Dreaming and Create Success Your Own Way. She has written two film scripts (one produced, one in development) and is also working on her first novel.
