After six years Rob Kennedy has decided to step down as the Director of Arcade Cardiff CIC in order to work on his own artwork projects. Arcade Cardiff CIC, located within Queens Arcade in Cardiff city centre, has recently undergone a period of growth and change. Aside from our gallery space Arcade Cardiff, in 2017 we expanded into an additional space Three Doors Up and initiated an exchange programme with galleries in France. In 2018 we will be extending and consolidating this activity. During this period of exciting developments we are looking for an experienced, organised and committed Director to join our team, inject new ideas and enthusiasm and shape Arcade Cardiff CIC’s future direction.

The Director will have overall responsibility for Arcade Cardiff CIC’s two public spaces. Alongside two curators they will be oversee the scheduling and co-ordination of Arcade Cardiff CIC’s artistic activities during 2018 and into the following year. The Director will be expected to take a ‘hands on’ approach and be responsible for all logistical elements of running the spaces including: financial planning, health and safety requirements, managing the practical fabrication for exhibitions, and work closely with the volunteer coordinator and liaise with Queens Arcade management.

We are looking for a Director who can play a crucial role in supporting and developing our existing artistic activity and be willing to trial and find funding for new initiatives.
