Purpose of the role 

To create, implement and manage Capital’s creative content and campaign strategies. This role has overarching responsibility for the creation of all marketing content – including blogs, social media, PR and SEO – and guardianship over Capital’s tone of voice. This role will include management of all of Capital’s content and campaign output – from conception to execution – and requires close work with all lawyers in the firm.  

Reports to the Brand Manager.  

Key areas of responsibility 

  • The creation and delivery of all internal and external creative content, including a detailed content strategy that supports wider marketing activity and business goals 
  • Creating strategic, targeted campaigns to support team plans 
  • Managing and directing Capital’s PR activity, including agency management 
  • Overseeing SEO strategy & progress 
  • Developing and implementing Capital’s tone of voice/communication training programme  
  • Responsible for delivering training on social media, writing and communication 
  • Responsible for Capital’s internal communications – process, guidance and delivery. 

Key tasks 

  • Directing content strategy to include planning, creation, editing and analysis of blogs, social media, PR activity and campaigns 
  • Content production of brochures, handouts, adverts, e-campaigns, promotional videos 
  • Liaising with heads of department to develop engaging and relevant content for the websites and other platforms 
  • Managing firm-wide engagement plan: ‘social media champions’  
  • Developing tone of voice/writing workshops to support tone of voice training programme 
  • Managing website SEO, including keywords, rankings, targets, content optimisation 
  • Creation and co-ordination of all social media content – including paid campaign management  
  • Proof reading and editing any written content – communications or otherwise – to ensure a consistently high standard and compliance with tone of voice and brand guidelines.
